Am Paipear is a community newspaper covering the geographic region of the Uists. It comes out on the first Thursday of every month.
Am Paipear has been established since 1976 and plays a vital part supporting the work of the third sector and social enterprise in the community. As a local community newspaper, we grow from strength to strength with the support from many island and off island contributors. Am Paipear’s aim is to be the eyes and the ears for the whole of the Uists community, including the voluntary sector. We aim to give information and support on:
- Community safety

- Community Council Information
- Funding Information
- Financial Information
- Local Community Interest
